In summary, the 5 cruises offer an unforgettable experience in the Amazon jungle, combining nature, adventure and comfort at different prices and categories to satisfy all tastes. For us at Kamú, the cruise on the Amazon is the most special and memorable trip that can be taken in Peru.

To board the cruises on the Amazon in Peru you have to fly to the city of Iquitos, which is reached by a 1 hour 40-minute flight from Lima. Then there is a 1 hour 30-minute land transfer to the Nauta river port, the embarkation point for the cruises. The route runs along the Marañón and/or Ucayali rivers until reaching the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve, a protected area with very rich biodiversity.

The best time to take the cruise is all year round, and although between November and March there is a higher probability of rain, this also has advantages. The physical demands are generally low, so it is ideal for couples, families and seniors without mobility limitations. It is not recommended for children under 5 years old, but exceptions can be requested.
